The program at AIR-yu is an opportunity for artists from Japan and abroad to experience and be inspired by Matsuyama City, the “International City of Tourism, Hot Springs and Culture”, and at the same time, to meet a variety of artists and their works in the community centering on the AIR-yu apartment.
Residencies can be 4, 8, or 12 weeks in length, and participating artists are required to present a performance or exhibition at -yu-'s gallery or at one of our partner venues.(We will support you in providing locations, collaborating with local artists, etc., whenever possible.)
